high-speed-757095-mThere is a place on the internet where only the cool people hang out.  If that is actually true, I have no idea because I’m certainly not invited.  Don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of stuff on the internet.  I am a member of a couple sites and I know a lot of people online and I have even emailed people before that I met online to talk about random things.  But the internet seems strange in its ways and also a bit confusing.  There are some people who really care about what people think about them online.  I mean, the internet is (mostly) anonymous, but there is still a desire to be cool even when you are posting anonymously or just talking about whatever.  People want to feel that sense of being liked and even if you don’t actually know the people with whom you’re talking you can still get a similar experience online as you would if you were actually hanging out with people.

I have even seen a few services that allow you the best place to buy youtube views to make it seem like more people have liked your page.  That is probably something that people use for a specific reason but it was still a bit odd to be because it’s kind of like buying votes that you are awesome.  Not that I have a need to do that.  Cuz you know.  The thing I said at the beginning of this post is true.

I’m part of the internet that is cool and I hang out with other cool internet users.

Just kidding.  I mostly go on forums and post funny pictures and look at pictures of houses or whatever people are posting and then when I get tired of that I go watch TV or hang out with some people.  I have never paid people to like my profiles and I don’t know that I would, although I do have over 50 friends on Facebook and I think that makes me pretty awesome.  I even tell people to find me online when I meet them in real life.  They usually don’t, but how often would you even do that?  I mean if you met the person once and then you add them online is that creepy or is that cool?  I’m so cool I don’t even know.  But I know that I do like most of what I do online and that’s probably why I visit as many websites as I do when I’m feeling like something needs to make me not spend too much time watching TV.
